Yoga for Digestive Health Workshop

There are many yoga poses that can stimulate the intestines, pancreas and stomach, making them strong and healthy. Yoga poses can eliminate constipation, decrease gas, reduce acid, improve absorption of food, and improve gastrointestinal circulation. This workshop has an educational component highlighting the overall importance of the digestive system and nutrition for our emotional and physical well-being. Concluding by bringing balance to the whole body, mind and self and then giving you suggested poses to help with discomfort.

Yoga for Arthritis Workshop

This 3 hour workshop will show you how yoga can ease your symptoms associated with stiffness in the joints, joint injuries, inflammation and/or achiness in the body, those with joint replacements (knee, hip, elbow etc.), and those with formal diagnosis of Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis.

Combines elements of restorative and gentle yoga, emphasizing what you can do, knowing your limits and learning the right way to move your major joints. We’ll also discuss the role of inflammation and stress, exploring poses to stretch, strengthen and stabilize joints, with as little discomfort as possible. If you are not comfortable moving to the floor, chairs will be used for your comfort as an option to follow with ease for where you are at. You will also learn home skills that can help with pain, balance and deep relaxation.

Restorative - A therapeutic practice beneficial for those with chronic ailments or those who wish to reduce stress & replenish energy.

Gentle - Gentle movements to reduce stiffness & improve range of motion; using props to facilitate movement.
